Loki Season 2: Marvel’s Disney+ series have mostly been praised by critics, and Loki has become a favorite among fans, thanks in large part to Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of the God of Mischief. The show’s success is also credited to creator Michael Waldron, who suggested in a recent interview on The Playlist that Loki Season 2 might take a different direction.
Originally planned as a limited series with only six episodes, Loki Season 2 could see changes in its format. Producer Greg Waldron mentioned that it’s uncertain if there will be more episodes this time, as the show might not have the constraints of a limited run.
In Loki Season 2, the aftermath of Sylvie’s actions will likely play a significant role in dealing with the consequences for the wider universe. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been exploring the multiverse theme in major films like No Way Home, bringing together various Spider-Men and villains.

In Doctor Strange’s upcoming film, the multiverse will be fully explored and opened. The repercussions of Loki’s events are extending into other Marvel projects, and Kang is expected to play a significant role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Loki’s second season is scheduled to premiere in 2023. It will be interesting to see how the show connects to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans are hopeful for more appearances of the beloved alligator version of Loki.
